Lavandin oil comes from the flowers of the Lavandula x intermedia (Dutch lavender) plant. Lavandula x intermedia is a hybrid of Lavandula angustifolia which produces Lavender oil, and lavandin is sometimes considered a cheaper or inferior version of lavender. It has a floral scent, similar to lavender. It has antidepressant and analgesic effects.
Lavendin oil is extracted by steam distillation of the flowers. The uses for Lavandin Essential Oil are abundant, ranging from personal care, to household cleaning, to detergents. Its deodorizing aroma makes it popular in bath and body, including soaps, shower gels, bath bombs, shampoos, as well as cleaning products and air fresheners.
Lavandin Essential Oil is an analgesic, meaning that it's able to reduce pain and inflammation. Whether it's pain in the muscles or joints, toothache, headache, coughs, colds or fevers, Lavandin Oil provides natural pain relief for your ailments.
Lavandin offers many of the same uses as True Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) but tends to be higher in camphor. Therefore, it can be a bit more stimulating than Lavender. Lavandin is a better choice for use for applications intended for respiratory, circulatory and muscular conditions.
