Patchouli is a bushy herb that reach two or three feet high. It has small, pale pink-white flowers. The chemical components of patchouli oil are b-patchoulene, a-guaiene, caryophyllene, a-patchoulene, seychellene, a-bulnesene, norpatchoulenol, patchouli alcohol and pogostol. Peppermint oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering herb of Mentha Arvensis. Peppermint oil has a penetrating odour. It is a colourless or pale yellow liquid. The main chemical component of Peppermint oil is Menthol. Mentha Arvensis is a herbaceous perennial plant growing to 10-60 cm (rarely to 100 cm) tall. The leaves are in opposite pairs, simple, 2-6.5 cm long and 1-2 cm broad, hairy, and with a coarsely serrated margin. The Rose Damascena shrub grows to about 2 metres in height, the stems are dense with thorns. The leaves are pinnate. The flowers are a pink/ red in colour.
