Patchouli Essential Oil

Patchouli is a bushy herb that reach two or three feet high. It has small, pale pink-white flowers. The chemical components of patchouli oil are b-patchoulene, a-guaiene, caryophyllene, a-patchoulene, seychellene, a-bulnesene, norpatchoulenol, patchouli alcohol and pogostol. Patchouli oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves. The color of the oil will deepen from a light yellowish, pale red to a deep, dark amber upon aging, and the oil will become more and more viscous. Fresh patchouli essential oil has a sharp, green fragrance.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering herb of Mentha Arvensis. Peppermint oil has a penetrating odour. It is a colourless or pale yellow liquid. The main chemical component of Peppermint oil is Menthol. Mentha Arvensis is a herbaceous perennial plant growing to 10-60 cm (rarely to 100 cm) tall. The leaves are in opposite pairs, simple, 2-6.5 cm long and 1-2 cm broad, hairy, and with a coarsely serrated margin. The flowers are pale purple (occasionally white or pink), in clusters on the stem, each flower 3-4 mm long.

Peppermint oil has a long tradition of medicinal use, with archaeological evidence placing its use at least as far back as ten thousand years ago. Rose Essential Oil

The Rose Damascena shrub grows to about 2 metres in height, the stems are dense with thorns. The leaves are pinnate. The flowers are a pink/ red in colour. Rose oil is extracted from the petals of Rose through steam distillation. It has a deep, rosy, fresh aroma, the color ranges from clear to a pale yellow or greenish tint.
